Frequently asked questions
They filter the blue light given off by screens and LED lighting. SOMNISE lenses are independently lab tested to target the wavelengths known to suppress melatonin, the hormone that helps your body wind down at night, so your evenings feel calmer and your sleep routine has a clear cue to begin
Wear them in the two to three hours before bed. That evening window is when blue light has the biggest effect on melatonin and your natural sleep rhythm, so it is the only time you need them on
Yes, there is a warm orange tint, and that is the point. Filtering out the wavelengths that disrupt sleep is what gives the lenses their colour, so the tint is a sign they are working. We use CR-39 lenses for maximum optical clarity, so everything stays sharp and easy to see through the tint. A slightly warmer view in the evening is a small trade for falling asleep faster and waking up to a better day
Yes. Every batch is tested using full-spectrum spectrophotometry, so the level of blue light protection is measured rather than estimated. We would rather show the data than ask you to take our word for it
We currently ship within the UK. If a pair is not right for you, you can return it in line with our returns policy. For anything else, email support@somnise.co.uk and we will be happy to help
